Maranatha! Singers - We Shall Stand(With Our Feet On The Rock)
Great Christian Single from the early 90s. Hmm, If I didn’t know any better, I would have said that this album was rushed as 4 of the songs are previous releases from the Maranatha! Praise Band(The Lord Reigns/I Will Trust In You) or Maranatha! Singers(Heart’s Courageous) By the way both groups consist of the same or almost the same folks, the difference is their approach to Worship. An approach which was very very successful for the Praise Band in the early 90s(Lord I Lift Your Name On High, Everythings gonna be alright in Christ etc). Speaking about approach, the Spiritual Warfare Series was a short lived attempt to jump on the Spiritual Warfare bandwagon of the 90s, which is a good thing as singing about Spiritual Warfare is definitely better than today’s socalled "Christian Music" which for the most part tries to emulate the world(Irony anyone). As I was saying, I would have thought this album to be rushed or bad but what saves it is the SINGING, which is some of the very best that I have heard on any Maranatha! release in a while(That says alot by the way). No new songs were written for the album, rather previously released songs by both Non-Maranatha and Maranatha artists were added to the album which is what saves it as the new rendition of these songs surpass the original artist’s take on them. Those songs such as We Shall Stand(With Our Feet On The Rock), Raise Up An Army and I Am Persuaded are what saves this album and make it great in my opinion. By the way ...
